Amaani thobes are sized using two precise measurements: length and width. Every size code combines the two, for example 56M: the number is the thobe length in inches, and the letter is the width and fit profile.

Step 1 - choose your length by height

The numeric size (52 to 62) is the thobe length in inches, measured from shoulder to hem. A well-fitted thobe ends around the ankle. Use this guide as a starting point:

Your height Recommended length
Up to 1.68 m (5'6") 52
1.68 to 1.73 m (5'6" to 5'8") 54
1.73 to 1.78 m (5'8" to 5'10") 56
1.78 to 1.83 m (5'10" to 6'0") 58
1.83 to 1.88 m (6'0" to 6'2") 60
Over 1.88 m (6'2") 62

These ranges are a guide. If you prefer the thobe to sit slightly higher, choose the shorter length; for fuller coverage to the ankle, choose the longer one. The most accurate check is to measure a thobe that already fits you well, from the shoulder seam straight down to the hem.

Step 2 - choose your width fitting

The letter size (S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL) determines the overall width and fit profile of the thobe.

Fitting Profile
S Sharpest, most tailored cut
M Tailored with easy movement, the most popular choice
L Comfortable, relaxed through the chest and body
XL to XXXL Fullest, most traditional silhouette

For a sharper, tailored appearance select a smaller letter; for a more relaxed, traditional drape select a larger one. If you are between fittings, most men prefer to size up.

Kids thobes

Kids sizes use the same principle: the number is the thobe length in inches. Measure your son from the shoulder to the ankle and choose the closest size, sizing up if he is between sizes to leave room to grow.
